Creche

QCCA runs a range of sessions and activities for mothers and toddlers during the academic weeks. The service is open to all toddlers under 4. Sessions are run over two sites:

• Queen's Crescent Community Centre (QCCC)
• Fleet Community Centre (FCC)

QCCA's creche is run according to Ofsed and in accordance to the "Every Child Matters" government guideline. The creche attracts a variety of mothers and toddlers from different backgrounds and groups. The creche allows mother and toddlers the opportunity to engage and interact with each other and with other mothers and toddlers. Sessions and activities are designed for toddlers to learn and develop their skills through touch, interaction and play.

Along with creche sessions, we also run events and take mothers and toddlers to day trips such as the London Zoo, Paradise Park, Creche Christmas party, fundraising events for charities etc.

The crèche also gives mothers the opportunity to attend the educational and health programmes which QCCA runs, such as ESOL, ICT, Women's Exercise sessions etc.

Peggy Jay Centre

QCCA now manage the 10 o'clock Club at the Peggy Jay Centre, Parliament Hill. The club was run by PSLA for 22 years but had to close the service because their funding ran out in April this year. QCCA launched the opening on 1st Oct 2009 and celebrated the sustainability of another much loved and needed service for its beneficiaries. The clubs will be managed by QCCA in partnership with City of London and with the support of the Parents group.

The club is financially supported by The Hampstead Wells and Campden Trust. QCCA would like to thank the trust for its generous funding.

Sessions will be available to all QCCA members. Sessions are run Monday to Friday 10am to 12pm. The Peggy Jay Centre can be on the located on the bottom of the heath, near the running track and Lido.
